The architectural details of the building that are worth paying special attention to are the terracotta figures of schoolgirls by the Silesian sculptor Thomas Myrtek. You can see them from Reymonta Street. There are six of them. But it is also worth taking a closer look at - at least for a moment - the mathematically almost regular, monumental body made of beautiful red brick, the regular shapes of the windows, soaring turrets, the tops of the building's gables or the intricately forged handrails of the stairs in its seat.

However, the most important thing is what is in the building. And there is a real treasure in it - an extremely rich collection of literature, which is a comprehensive resource of knowledge for employees of schools and educational institutions. It will certainly help every educator and teacher.

Something that cannot be ignored is also an absolutely unique and extensive collection of old prints. Recently, in order to properly protect and store them, the library has been carrying out a large project. As part of it, the room in which the old prints are kept has been renovated and equipped. These treasures were also properly secured. Educational and information activities with the use of ICT applications are also planned. Thanks to this, old prints will be properly displayed.
